“Your Teaching Doesn’t Need to Be Perfect” Interview with CHE

In a recent interview with The Chronicle of Higher Education‘s Beckie Supiano, my coauthor for The New College Classroom, Cathy N. Davidson, and I talked about Chapter 12 in the book, which is cheekily called, “What Could Possibly Go Wrong?” In the chapter we talk about teaching fails (if you like reading about lessons learned from flops in the classroom, the Journal of Interactive Technology and Pedagogy (JITP) has a whole category of articles devoted just to “teaching fails”), and the importance of being a co-learner, which means learning with your students in the classroom. Read Supiano’s write up from the interview in CHE‘s “Teaching” Newsletter.
